It was great to see everyone at the December eating meeting, of course we did not conduct any club business at this meeting so there aren't any updates from the meeting.

Austin Mann, KA5MAN the founder of the Golden Triangle Amateur CW QRP Society will be teaching the Morse Code class to anyone who is interested. The location will be at the Lowndes County Amateur Radio Club, club house on Lawrence Drive. This class is free to everyone. If you are planning to attend and you know someone who would like to be in the class please bring them with you. The CW classes will be on Monday and Thursday nights at 6:30 PM starting Monday; January 9, 2012. These classes will last 6 to 8 weeks, you will learn the code and the technical aspects of Morse Code. Please note do not bring pens, pencils or paper to the class as Austin will be providing these for the class. If you have any questions in regards to the Morse Code class please call or text Austin Mann at 662-251-9800 or you can e-mail the Golden Triangle Amateur CW QRP Society at : goldentriangleacqs@gmail.com . I will be attending this class myself so I hope to see you there.

The Club meetings are the first Thursday of the month 7:00 PM at the new club house location on Lawrence Drive in east Columbus. See map at bottom of this page. The next club meeting will be January 5, 2012

Everyone is welcome to come to our meetings to learn more about and discuss amateur radio or to just visit with the local club members. Membership is not required to participate in the QSO's or the meetings. Hope to hear you check in or see you at the meeting.
